New Ulanzi products in the MITOYA range for September 2026 include four lights and a quick-release kit. The selection covers manual flash, bi-color and RGB lighting, plus hardware for mounting cameras.

Ulanzi F16R – manual flash with continuous LED light
Ulanzi F16R combines a manual camera flash with LEDs arranged around the flash tube. These LEDs also provide continuous light for close-range fill and short video clips.
The flash has a guide number of GN16 at ISO 100. Output adjusts in seven steps from 1/64 to 1/1. At full power, the recycle time is around 3 seconds. The head also tilts through 90° for direct or bounce flash. For example, bouncing the flash off a nearby white ceiling can soften the light.
The LEDs offer 5 W of continuous light with a 2500-6500 K color temperature range. A 1200 mAh battery charges via USB-C, and the unit weighs 136 g.
However, flash compatibility depends on center-pin triggering through the camera’s hot shoe. Check that the camera supports this connection before pairing the two.
Ulanzi UA50 Air Tube – inflatable bi-color LED light
Ulanzi UA50 Air Tube is a 50 W bi-color LED light with a 90 cm inflatable diffuser. This creates a broad light source for interviews, portraits and product work. After use, the light deflates and folds down for transport.
An inline controller provides four CCT presets: 2700 K, 4000 K, 5600 K and 6500 K. Brightness also adjusts in steps: 0%, 10%, 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%. The rated CRI is 95+. A 190 cm USB-C power cable keeps the controller separate from the light.
Unlike the battery-powered models, the UA50 needs an external USB-C power source. The kit includes a 65 W USB Power Delivery adapter. Alternatively, a compatible 65 W PD power bank can supply power on location.
For mounting, use the built-in magnets or the supplied magnetic plate with a 1/4-inch thread. The latter connects the light to a support with a matching screw.
Ulanzi PL15RGB – RGB LED light with a magnetic phone mount
Ulanzi PL15RGB combines a rectangular RGB LED light with a magnetic phone mount. The central holder supports MagSafe and PixelSnap, with 180° of tilt adjustment. This layout provides frontal lighting for tutorials, beauty content and live streams.
The light offers 2500-9000 K CCT adjustment, RGB lighting and 20 effects. CRI ranges from 95 to 98. In RGB mode, HSI controls adjust hue, saturation and intensity. It also includes three cold shoe mounts, two 1/4-inch mounting threads and fold-out feet for tabletop use.
The battery provides up to 90 minutes of runtime. However, maximum brightness drops to 60% while charging. For longer sessions, factor this limit into the lighting setup.
Phone size also matters. MITOYA specifies standard-size models and excludes Max and XL versions. Therefore, check physical fit as well as magnetic compatibility.
Ulanzi UKA12 – quick-release camera mounting kit
The Ulanzi UKA12 quick-release kit includes a camera plate and a mounting base. The plate stays attached to the camera when moving between compatible tripod, slider and gimbal setups.
A latch locks the plate automatically, while a separate manual lock secures the connection. In addition, a rubber pad helps prevent the camera from slipping against the plate.
The base has an Arca-Swiss profile and supports 1/4-inch and 3/8-inch mounting connections. As a result, it can attach to compatible clamps or threaded supports.
The aluminum kit weighs 78 g and has a rated load capacity of 6 kg. For use on a gimbal, include the kit’s weight when balancing the camera.
Ulanzi Fold 15 Tube Light – folding bi-color and RGB tube
Ulanzi Fold 15 Tube Light is a 15 W folding LED tube. It offers 2500-9000 K CCT adjustment, RGB lighting and 20 effects. For example, it can add a rim light to portraits or a color accent to the background.
Fully extended, the light measures 48 cm. It folds down to 30.5 cm for transport. Two sections form the light source. Users can also switch off the upper segment to work with just one section.
The handle allows handheld use. Alternatively, mount the tube on a stand or arm using its 1/4-inch thread.
The 2500 mAh battery provides up to 70 minutes at full power. USB-C charging supports the PD 3.0 protocol. However, full output while charging requires a PD power supply rated at 20 W or more.
Power and mounting considerations for the new Ulanzi products
These new Ulanzi products cover flash, continuous lighting and quick camera changes. However, their power requirements differ. UA50 needs external PD power. PL15RGB reduces brightness while charging. In contrast, Fold 15 can maintain full output with a suitable 20 W PD supply.
Before assembling a kit, check camera triggering, phone clearance and mounting compatibility. These checks help match each product to the intended setup.
